Blaze Minnow

The Cavy Blaze Minnow is a floating minnow lure that combines sharp, erratic darts with a controlled slow-retrieve wobble. Fish it with twitches and jerks to imitate an injured baitfish, then pause to let it slowly rise.

Choose your size
Both sizes float. Choose by lure length, casting weight and running depth.

Blaze 115F: 115 mm (4-1/2”), 16.5 g (9/16 oz), floating / running depth 1.3 m (4–5 ft), BKK 4X #6 hooks.

Blaze 130F: 130 mm (5-1/4”), 21 g (3/4 oz), floating / running depth 1.8 m (5–6 ft), BKK 4X #4 hooks.

How to fish it
Use a twitching or jerking retrieve for unpredictable, darting movement that mimics weakened baitfish. Add pauses to let the lure slowly rise, a movement that can trigger strikes. Slow the retrieve for a subtle side-to-side wobble when a more controlled, finesse presentation is needed.

Long casts, smooth control
A lightweight plastic body and magnetic weight-transfer system support casting distance and aerodynamic flight. The balanced body and low centre of gravity keep the lure active at slow speeds, with stable tracking and a natural presentation across varying retrieve speeds.

For active fish and pressured water
Switch between an aggressive darting retrieve and a slower wobble to target predatory fish in varied conditions, including pressured water where cautious fish call for realism and control.
